Introduction
As we gear up for the 24/25 season, we’re reflecting on the thrilling moments that define go!trekking—from heart-pounding hunts to scenic treks across Ireland’s west coast. This month, we’re sharing a recent hunting adventure in Cong and celebrating the local collaborations that make our community so vibrant. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or a nature enthusiast, there’s a place for you in our go!trekking family!

Featured Activity: Hunting in Cong
Earlier this year, we took to the fields of Cong for an exhilarating hunt, where our horse Coady showed off his jumping skills. As we shared on our Facebook page, some hedges were a bit tricky on the landing side, but Coady handled them like a pro! The rolling hills of Cong provided the perfect backdrop for this adventure, with bare trees and open fields creating a stark, beautiful landscape. Our hunts are more than just a ride—they’re a chance to connect with nature, test your skills, and bond with fellow riders. We’re already planning more hunts for the 24/25 season, so stay tuned for updates!

Local Collaboration: Supporting Local Stables
We couldn’t do what we do without the support of local stables like Tom McNamara’s, who provided horses for our hunts last season. Working with local businesses ensures our trekkers have access to well-trained horses while supporting the rural economy. We’re also excited to continue our partnership with the Westport Woods Hotel, which hosts many of our events and offers a cozy retreat after a day of trekking or hunting. These collaborations help us create authentic, community-driven experiences that celebrate the best of Ireland’s west coast.

Community Spotlight: A Season of Connection
At go!trekking, community is at the heart of everything we do. Our hunts and treks bring together people from all walks of life, creating lasting memories and friendships. During our Cong hunt, we had riders from near and far, including a few who joined us for the first time. Watching everyone cheer each other on as we tackled those hedges was a reminder of the supportive spirit that defines our group. Whether you’re jumping hedges or building walls on the beach, you’ll find a warm welcome in our community.
