At Go!Trekking!, we celebrate the timeless bond between rider and horse. Founded by Michael Lennon, a lifelong horseman inspired by his father, Patrick Lennon, our story is one of passion, connection, and adventure. Growing up in County Carlow, Michael’s love for horses began with a family pony, Flood’s Best, and deepened with his first horse, Rosie, a loyal chestnut mare whose spirit and companionship shaped his vision.
Rosie’s passing left a profound impact on Michael, strengthening his resolve to share the joy of horseback riding with others. In her honour, he established Go!Trekking! in Westport—a place where riders of all levels can explore Ireland’s stunning landscapes while forming unforgettable connections with exceptional Irish horses. From mountain trails to sandy beach rides, our goal is to bring the freedom and magic of horse riding to everyone.
